COWBOY CLASSICS BTS

Santa Fe has always been known for creative innovation in Art, Craftsmanship, & Design. We couldn't think of a better way to celebrate the launch of our latest collection, Cowboy Classics, than to invite a few of our amazing creative friends to join us at our recent photo shoot. These are the images of real people reflecting their brand alongside Dixon Rand.  It was a day of collaboration, a day of sharing ideas, and a day we will not forget for a long time.

A master silversmith, Gregory Segura is just about the coolest cat we know. Greg's designs are inspired by both Spanish and Native American Heritage. His brand, Santa Fe Silverworks, is based out of a Studio in Santa Fe where his exquisite & unique sterling silver pieces are handcrafted. We collaborated with Greg last year on our collection of Boot Tags, and look forward to continuing our collaborative partnership. Without a doubt, the best dressed dude in town.

No photo shoot of western apparel would be complete without a couple of real Cowboys...well we thought better and made it a Cowboy and Cowgirl. Karen Kramer is our beauty from Lamy, NM and has a smile that lights up the room. A collector of vintage Western memorabilia and Native American Jewelry, Karen sells of select pieces of her finds at local pop-ups and through her site. Our real life Cowboy is Robert Blanchet. A painter, craftsman skilled in creating parflesche bags, jewelry, and authentic Native American beadwork, Bob brought out the big guns for the shoot. Literally...a vintage rifle and six shooter created the authenticity we'd hoped for. With a down to earth attitude, we were still able to get quite a few smiles out of this lifelong Cowboy.

Relatively new to Santa Fe is Scott Horn aka The Unsaddled. You may have seen Scott's work featured in our latest Artist Series. An accomplished leather artist, Scott utilizes tools passed down from his grandfather to create unique wearable pieces. With an Art School education, Scott's influences run the gamut from Grecian architecture to Southwest topography. We're working on plans for an upcoming show at our space. Stay tuned.
