The Blacktail BumbleBee; a Chain Stitch Embroidery patch from the BEE collection. This bumblebee can utilize a number of habitat types, including agricultural and urban areas. It is one of the few bumblebees still found regularly in San Francisco. It feeds on many types of plants, including manzanitas, wild lilacs, and sages. It nests underground or aboveground in structures. Hand crafted using a 100 year old vintage machine. This patch mixes 2 old world techniques to add a dimension to the body of the insect....truly unique.
