The latest edition to the Dixon Rand SMOKEY collection, Chief Smokey. Complete with Cowboy hat and Eagle Feather, this patch represents the iconic bear as a trader (and protector of all who venture into the woods to do so).
Smokey the Bear has stood for Fire Safety since the 1940's when the US forest service rescued an orphaned black bear cub who had been severely burn in a forest fire in New Mexico. They named the cub SMOKEY, now a symbol used by the American Forest Service to symbolize the danger of wildfires. Not just a cuddly bear but more of an institution, Smokey is one of our very limited edition releases.
