Introducing the Bandit Jackets, the first in our Artist Series releases. Artist Series I features the work of Ben Nelson Ahn-Hia-Ohm (which means "he knows"). A native American artist based in New Mexico, Ben is not only a skilled technician but a visionary in expressing his talents via wearable art. Self taught, Ben has been recognized for his ability to transcend a variety of mediums from fine art painting to graphic print expression. Our collaboration explores the collision of the Street Art world with Heritage Fashion. Something we call Street Prep, it's upcycled garments transformed with embroidery, applique, and screen printing. Each garment embodies the Spirit of the West and is a nod to unique talent and skill combined with the fearlessness of artistic expression.
Hand Dyed Bandanas, Applique, Distressing, and a contemporary version of Boro stitching are applied to this vintage Detroit style Carhartt jacket with corduroy collar to create a one of a kind collectible. Already broken in and faded to the perfect patina, this is a true work of art. Full front zip, kangaroo pockets, adjustable waistband tabs, and an action back are all part of the heritage style.
